To thrive as a Senior Database Analyst, you need advanced knowledge of database design, data modeling, and SQL, typically supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Expertise with database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL, along with certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, is highly valued. Staying updated on new database technologies and best practices is also essential for proactively solving emerging issues and maintaining system reliability.

Is 40 too late for data science?

A Senior Database Analyst or data science professional can start at any age, including 40, as success depends on skills, experience, and continuous learning. Many individuals transition into data science later in their careers by acquiring relevant knowledge in programming, statistics, and tools like Python or R.
