Job description

Job Description
Position Summary:
This position supports the Corporate Development & Strategy group and the Executive Management team. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing M&A opportunities, leading the execution of transactions throughout the full deal lifecycle, supporting the Wine & Spirits and Beer divisions in evaluating strategic initiatives, complex financial modeling, and industry related analysis. Direct interaction with executive, senior and division management teams is required.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Process owner of financial / valuation modeling as part of the Corporate Development function, which includes:
    • Creating complex, flexible financial models, including pro-forma three-statement projections, DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, accretion/dilution, and synergy analyses, to assess mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and minority investments
    • Managing the collection and organization of relevant project data from corporate and divisional personnel, and conducting scenario / sensitivity analyses to pressure-test transaction economics
    • Interacting with external parties (counterparties and advisors) regarding business case assumptions, valuation outputs, and information requirements
  • Lead end-to-end acquisition or divestiture due diligence, coordinating with financial, commercial, operational, and other corporate functions; managing data room and information requests; synthesizing findings into clear takeaways for senior leadership
  • Project manage acquisition-related integration strategies
  • Partner with the Corporate Strategy team to continuously evaluate industry trends, competitive landscape, and M&A activity across beverage alcohol and adjacent CPG categories to identify, screen, and prioritize acquisition, partnership, and investment opportunities
  • Lead other high-profile, strategic projects as required - e.g., footprint optimization, large scale capital expansion, asset divestitures, partnerships, minority investments, etc.
  • Develop strong relationships across the operating companies (Beer and Wine & Spirits) and central support functions (Legal, Finance, Tax, HR, IT)
  • Work closely with internal leadership as the company undertakes new initiatives (mergers, acquisitions, strategic projects) to ensure effective and efficient execution of operational objectives
  • Partner closely with Legal throughout the transaction lifecycle, developing fluency in transaction documents and taking full ownership of all business terms and commercial provisions within the documents
  • Prepare executive-level presentation materials, including for the Executive Management team and Board of Directors, that translate complex financial and strategic analyses into clear, digestible narratives and recommendations
  • Other Corporate Development-related duties and special projects as required

Recommended Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field, MBA or CFA preferred
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting (M&A/Corp Dev practice), or corporate development at a CPG or related company
  • Highly flexible and comfortable performing in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to rapidly come up to speed on new issues, identify the critical questions, and develop hypothesis-driven recommendations
  • Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple complex workstreams in parallel and deliver against tight deadlines
  • Advanced financial modeling skills; ability to build pro-forma three-statement models, valuation analyses (DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions), and accretion/dilution and synergy frameworks
  • Solid foundation in GAAP accounting and corporate finance principles (NPV, IRR, ROIC, cost of capital)
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to communicate and influence all levels in the organization
  • Strategic, data-driven thinker who can take ambiguous questions and use internal and external data to uncover insights and tell a clear story. Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information, interpret key drivers, and translate findings into actionable recommendations, backed by solid business judgment and structured problem-solving.
  • Strong stakeholder management; experience collaborating across functions (Legal, Commercial, Operations, Finance, Tax, HR, IT) and with external advisors throughout the deal lifecycle
  • Industry and competitor research capability; ability to synthesize information from public filings, sell-side research, expert calls, and proprietary sources
  • Sufficient influence to effectively resolve issues and ensure business and resource commitment
  • High level of professional integrity and discretion when handling confidential transaction information
  • Familiarity with beverage alcohol, CPG, or related consumer industries (preferred)

The salary range for this role is:
$88,700.00 - $135,900.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor.
