Sr. Data Analyst Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote) Duration: 12+ Months Interview Process: Virtual Interview + Virtual Panel Round Power BI, Advanced Excel, Data Cleansing & Transformation, Large Dataset Analysis, Reporting & Variance Analysis, Project Accounting Support, Invoice Validation, EPC/Project Controls Experience. Description We are seeking a hands-on Sr. Data Analyst to support large-scale project accounting and invoice payment processing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in advanced data analytics, Power BI reporting, data cleansing, and managing high-volume datasets across multiple data sources. This role is heavily focused on data analysis and reporting, with exposure to project accounting and contract compliance activities within EPC/project environments. Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced data analysis to support project accounting and invoice payment processing activities.
  • Build and maintain databases/workbooks for analyzing high-volume reimbursable contractor invoices.
  • Collect, clean, organize, and transform data from multiple sources into formats usable for Power BI reporting and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytical models.
  • Generate periodic management reports, charts, and variance analysis.
  • Support invoice verification and compliance processes related to EPC and project contracts.
  • Analyze project cost drivers and establish reference tables to support contractor cost comparisons and payment validation.
  • Collaborate with project controllers, contractors, JV/CoV teams, and auditors as needed.
  • Ensure reporting consistency, scalability, and data accuracy across analytical platforms.
Required
  • 5-10 years of hands-on Data Analysis experience
  • Strong Power BI expertise, including dashboard development and deployment
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong data cleaning, transformation, and reporting experience
  • Experience handling large and complex datasets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with reporting, variance analysis, and data validation
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment
Preferred
  • EPC, project accounting, or project controls experience
  • Experience supporting invoice verification or contract compliance activities
  • Exposure to Tableau or other BI/reporting tools
