Senior Data Architect
Location: Dallas, Texas (hybrid – onsite 3-4 days/week) *LOCAL CANDIDATE ONLY
Contract: 12-18 months


Our client is looking for a Senior Data Architect who’s passionate about designing smart, scalable, and strategic data solutions. This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex data initiatives spanning Data Warehousing, ODS, ETL, and Master Data Management, while partnering closely with business and technical teams to shape how data drives decisions across the enterprise.

The right candidate will bring not just technical expertise, but also the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with business and functional owners, turning complex data concepts into actionable insights.

What You’ll Bring:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline

·       6+ years of experience designing and implementing data architecture across OLTP, Data Warehousing, and Big Data environments.

·       Strong background in Solution Architecture, Data Governance, and Master Data Management (MDM).

·       Hands-on expertise with ETL, data integration, APIs, OLAP, and best practices for data movement and processing.

·       Expertise in data modeling, database design, and translating business requirements into effective data structures.

·       Proven ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, clearly communicating data strategy, architecture, and design decisions.

·       Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.

·       A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and the confidence to mentor others.

 

What You’ll Do:

·       Design, implement, and evolve enterprise data solutions across multiple systems and environments.

·       Partner with business and functional teams to align data strategies with organizational goals.

·       Drive data governance standards, ensuring data accuracy, lineage, and consistency.

·       Create and maintain architecture documentation, data dictionaries, and modeling guidelines.

·       Define best practices for data movement, transformation, and management with ETL and DBA teams.

·       Develop and execute the roadmap for Master Data Management (MDM), including tool evaluation and rollout.

·       Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
