Salary: $150,000 to $200,000

As a Senior Project Manager at GLY, you play a pivotal role in driving project success, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the longterm health of our business. This leadership position blends operational excellence, strategic planning, and team development, ensuring that every project is delivered with clarity, accountability, and a commitment to quality. Youll guide multidisciplinary teams, foster strong partnerships, and help shape project outcomes from pursuit through closeout, all while modeling GLYs values and contributing to our culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.

What You Get to Do:


  • Develop and sustain a complete knowledge of GLYs market sector and typical project profiles, including major trade partners, pricing, and competitive advantages.
  • Support and sustain client base to ensure repeat clients and develop new client relationships in order to procure new work.
  • Achieve profitability goals on an annualized basis.
  • Manage individual major projects, and / or multiple small to mid-sized projects. Strive to balance between on-going construction, preconstruction, and business development as well as other business sustaining activities to ensure a steady flow of profitable work.
  • Act as single point of accountability on assigned projects, and with key accounts. Take full ownership of the project as well as the client relationship.
  • Elicit strong effort from project teams. Mentor & develop GLY staff members as fast as the individual capabilities will allow. Identify individuals strengths and weaknesses and support and / or mitigate accordingly. Coordinate individuals development with HR, PIC, and Operations.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; ensuring engagement, appraising performance, addressing any issues and resolving problems.
  • Create an empowered atmosphere of delegated responsibility and accountability. Senior Project Managers are to assume full responsibility for all duties outlined in the Project Manager job description whenever necessary.
  • Maintain positive, productive relations with project team, owner, architect, trade partners, suppliers, etc.
  • Develop aggressive yet achievable project schedules with overall development team, including the design team, owner, trade partners and GLY field supervisors and craft personnel.
  • Perform systematic and on-going budget development and value engineering. Ensure accurate budgets and schedules are developed and communicated from the Conceptual, Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Document stages. Utilize subcontractors as appropriate for budget development and ensure that required coordination between disciplines is properly addressed in the design.
  • Ensure that project buyout is successful. Utilize key trade partners and ensure that scope is properly addressed and that project schedule and coordination requirements are fully understood. Ensure subcontracts are properly developed, documented and executed.
  • Review logic of detailed construction schedule prepared by Superintendent. Ensure staffing plan is effective and is properly communicated to Operations. Monitor actual progress for adherence to developed schedule.
  • Support the project with creative thinking and foresight. Ensure that project team has the reasonable resources to succeed. Provide early identification of staffing or peak workload problems
  • Ensure through delegation and review that final closeout and transmission of documents to files and to the owner is properly completed. Ensure that the Engineer/Project Manager reviews as-built and warranty information for compliance to contract requirements.
  • Perform final review and audit of GMP trade partners final cost reports and cost history, and ensure that final cost reports are accurate and provide meaningful cost history.

What It Takes:


  • 10+ years project management experience in commercial construction. Minimum 15 years total industry experience.
  • Proven track record of winning work as the key selling resource.
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • DBIA, LEED, LEAN and / or other related industry accreditations preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to navigate challenging situations for positive outcomes.
  • Excellent written, verbal and other interpersonal communication skills - communication is a large part of what we do!
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well with others we like to have fun.
  • Adaptable you work well under pressure and adapt quickly to different situations and work environments.
