Job description

RAYMOND SEARCH GROUP

SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT MANAGER / ARCHITECT

Confidential Client - South Florida (Broward County Area)

Full-Time, On-Site | $120,000-$140,000 + Benefits | Relocation Available | August 2026

A future-leadership hire for a premier, 20+ person architecture firm—combining technical project command, client leadership, and team mentorship with potential long-term firm ownership.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a highly respected, ~21-person architecture firm with a deeply established South Florida presence and a long track record of success in municipal and public-sector work. Having seamlessly executed an internal leadership transition from the founder to the current executive team, the firm is now seeking its next generation of long-term leadership to support ongoing growth.

The company is hiring a Senior Architectural Project Manager / Architect to take immediate, meaningful responsibility off the partners' plates. This is not simply a Senior PM seat—it is designed for a licensed architect with a service mentality and high initiative who can manage complex multi-stakeholder projects today and earn a seat at the leadership table tomorrow. Potential future ownership is real and earned based on performance, leadership contribution, and cultural fit.

FIRM SIZE - ~21 Professionals - Collaborative, in-office culture

FOCUS SECTOR - Public & Municipal - Complex, high-stake projects

CAREER RUNWAY - Future Ownership - Earned leadership progression

THE COMPANY

A collaborative, open-door firm that has intentionally built and protected an exceptional workplace culture. Projects range from major public-sector renovations to ground-up municipal facilities. The team thrives on cross-discipline collaboration, professional development, and community—frequently enjoying team happy hours and social events. Client identity is disclosed to qualified candidates under confidentiality.

THE ROLE

You are the primary engine for complex project delivery and team oversight. You will take ownership of high-value municipal projects, lead multidisciplinary consultant teams, enforce strict QA/QC standards, and mentor junior PMs and design staff. You are hands-on in construction administration and set reviews, while also serving as a trusted partner to key public-sector clients.

What You'll Own

• End-to-end management of complex municipal and public-sector architectural projects across South Florida

• Rigorous QA/QC oversight of construction documents, constructability reviews, and multidisciplinary coordination

• Hands-on Construction Administration (CA), serving as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and consultants

• Active mentorship and oversight of junior Project Managers and architectural design staff

• Proactive client management—anticipating scheduling conflicts, solving problems before they arise, and nurturing client relationships

• Contribution to firm operations, strategy, and business growth over time

The First-Year Scoreboard

Within six months, you have taken full operational command of assigned municipal projects, freeing executive leadership to focus on strategic growth. Your QA/QC and CA reviews are seamless, and junior staff actively look to you for guidance. You have earned the trust of key clients, demonstrated an proactive "see a hole, fill a hole" ownership mentality, and established yourself as an indispensable future leader.

WHO FITS

You are an active Florida Registered Architect with 8+ years of architectural experience who thrives in a collaborative, in-office team setting. You bring strong technical project management skills alongside actual building design experience, and you want to build something long-term rather than just manage projects.

• Active Registered Architect (RA) license in the State of Florida

• 8+ years of architectural project management experience, heavily focused on municipal, government, or public-sector work

• Deep hands-on background in QA/QC document reviews, constructability, and Construction Administration

• Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam

• Service-oriented initiative: you naturally identify operational gaps and take ownership without needing direction

• Excellent client-facing communication skills and multi-stakeholder coordination abilities

THIS SEAT IS NOT FOR YOU IF you prefer working remotely, expect guaranteed equity on day one without earning it, or manage strictly from behind a desk without diving into technical QA/QC and team development.

COMPENSATION

Competitive base salary target calibrated to experience (with flexibility for exceptional fit), plus a comprehensive benefits package. Includes an annual $500 professional development stipend, 100% covered professional organization memberships, and a long-term potential path to firm equity/ownership based on leadership impact. Relocation assistance is available for top candidates.

Our client is an equal opportunity employer. Candidates are considered without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, marital status, disability status, veteran status, or any other legally protected class.
