Oneida Health is currently looking for a part-time Program Assistant (approximately 12-16 hours a week) to work the day shift in supporting our Healthy Seniors Program. This position will work under the direction of the Care Coordinator on various tasks to meet tenant and program needs including some clerical work, assisting with planned activities, minimal personal care, minimal cleaning of apartments, and driving residents of the Healthy Seniors Program to and from appointments as needed using the program’s van. The ideal candidate will be efficient and able to perform tasks thoroughly.

Able to regularly lead activities independently for groups of 10-20 people including but not limited to meals, exercises, seminars, crafts, etc.
Plan and implement programming that addresses the needs of senior citizens including but not limited to: social isolation, healthy meals/snacks, kitchen safety, exercise, computer/cell phone skills, financial literacy, and other programs geared toward the frail/elderly population
Recognize and report participant related medical, physical, social, and emotional concerns to Program Director

Prefer, at minimum, satisfactory coursework in areas relevant to the position including but not limited to: nutrition, culinary, recreation, psychology
