Job Overview

This integrator is seeking an experienced Senior AV Service Technician to join their growing service department. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and upgrade existing residential AV and smart home systems while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You'll handle both remote and onsite service requests, diagnose complex technical issues, perform system upgrades, and serve as a trusted technical resource for clients. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in delivering outstanding service, and is looking for a long-term opportunity with leadership potential.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair residential AV, control, networking, and lighting systems
  • Perform both remote and onsite service calls with professionalism and efficiency
  • Complete system upgrades and integrate new equipment into existing installations
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians to ensure projects and service requests are completed successfully
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional communication and customer service
  • Participate in an after-hours support rotation to provide ongoing client support when needed

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience working with residential AV and home automation systems
  • Hands-on experience with at least two of the following platforms:
  • Control4
  • Ubiquiti UniFi
  • Lutron
  • Savant
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to independently service and program residential AV systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable participating in an after-hours support rotation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Control4, Ubiquiti UniFi, Savant, or Lutron
  • Experience working within a collaborative service team
  • Previous experience mentoring or coaching junior technicians
  • Desire to grow into a leadership position

Physical Demands

This position requires standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, and lifting equipment weighing up to 80 pounds.

Compensation

$75,000–$85,000 based on experience
