Job description

Position Summary

Texas Tactical Protection Group is seeking professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officers to provide overnight security for an active construction site. Officers are responsible for protecting the property, equipment, materials, and personnel by maintaining a visible security presence, controlling access to the site, conducting routine patrols, and reporting any suspicious or unsafe activity.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain alert throughout the entire shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control access to the construction site, allowing entry only to authorized personnel.

  • Verify identification, credentials, and authorization of all visitors, contractors, and vendors as required.

  • Conduct routine and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the property throughout the shift.

  • Deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized activity through a visible security presence.

  • Protect construction materials, equipment, tools, vehicles, and other company assets.

  • Observe and report suspicious activity, criminal behavior, or security concerns immediately.

  • Contact emergency services (Police, Fire Department, or EMS) when necessary and provide accurate information regarding emergencies.

  • Respond appropriately to incidents while remaining within company policies and state regulations.

  • Identify and report safety hazards, fire hazards, damaged fencing, unsecured gates, or other conditions that could present a risk to personnel or property.

  • Complete detailed, accurate, and timely incident reports, daily activity reports, and shift logs.

  • Maintain communication with supervisors and provide timely updates regarding significant events.

  • Ensure all gates, access points, and designated areas remain secure during the shift.

  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and customer service attitude while representing Texas Tactical Protection Group.

  • Follow all client post orders, company policies, and Texas Department of Public Safety regulations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Texas Security Officer License (Level II – Non-Commissioned).

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Must successfully pass any required background screening.

Physical Requirements
  • Walk and patrol uneven terrain throughout the shift.

  • Stand for extended periods.

  • Climb stairs and navigate active construction areas when necessary.

  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.

  • Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment
