The Opportunity:

We’re looking to fill an opening for a Senior Business Operations Manager.

Reporting to the VP, Business Initiatives & Operations, the Senior Business Operations Manager, is responsible for executing Asset Management’s strategic priorities, ensuring plans are translated into action and delivered effectively. This role focuses on activating strategy, driving initiative execution, and maintaining strong discipline across planning, reporting, and governance.

What your day looks like:

Strategic Planning & Initiative Delivery

  • Manage annual departmental business planning processes, translating strategic direction into actionable plans and deliverables
  • Coordinate annual budget and FTE planning, ensuring resources are effectively allocated
  • Support the planning, prioritization, and sequencing of strategic initiatives across Asset Management
  • Manage the enterprise delivery intake process, ensuring initiatives are documented, assessed, and progressed through governance
  • Oversee execution of key initiatives, ensuring timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables are actively managed and reported
  • Directly lead and deliver select strategic projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved and aligned to business priorities

Business Reporting & Performance Management

  • Produce the annual Asset Management Balanced Scorecard and coordinate the creation of departmental scorecards to support business oversight
  • Maintain Balanced scorecard and departmental scorecards, ensuring performance is tracked and reported consistently
  • Prepare Executive Committee (EC) reporting
  • Ensure reporting is consistent, actionable, and aligned to leadership expectations

Governance & Committee Support

  • Represent Asset Management in key enterprise forums, including the Business Continuity Committee (BCC), Aviso CX Council, Enterprise Change Committee, and Operational Risk Committee
  • Prepare materials, updates, and inputs for governance forums, ensuring Asset Management initiatives are appropriately represented
  • Maintain and update the quarterly risk register, tracking key risks and mitigation actions
  • Ensure initiatives adhere to enterprise governance, risk, and change management requirement

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in asset management
  • Experience with strategy, business management, or project management
  • Strong track record of delivering initiatives and managing projects in complex, cross-functional environments
  • Experience supporting budgeting, resource planning, and business performance tracking
  • Comfortable operating in structured governance and reporting environments
  • Proven ability to execute with discipline and manage competing priorities
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $115,000 - $135,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
