2nd Shift CNC Supervisor (Working Supervisor)

Erie Industrial Products (EIP) – Oberlin, OH

Hours: 2:30 pm -11:00 pm

Lead. Machine. Mentor. Make an Impact.

Erie Industrial Products (EIP) is looking for an experienced 2nd Shift CNC Supervisor to lead our evening machining operations. This is not a desk job—we're looking for a Senior CNC Machinist who enjoys leading people, solving technical challenges, and driving continuous improvement.

If you're the person everyone turns to when a machine goes down, a setup isn't right, or a difficult part needs to be run, we want to talk with you.

You'll lead a team of skilled machinists and operators while remaining hands-on with machine setups, troubleshooting, process improvements, and production support.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and develop a team of CNC machinists and operators on second shift
  • Perform complex CNC setups on mills and lathes
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues
  • Optimize cycle times, tooling, feeds, speeds, and workholding
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings
  • Edit CNC programs at the machine when needed
  • Coordinate daily production schedules and workflow
  • Ensure parts meet customer specifications and quality standards
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Coach employees and help develop the next generation of machinists
  • What We're Looking For

We're searching for someone who is both a technical expert and an effective leader.

    Qualifications include:
  • 710+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Previous experience leading machinists or manufacturing teams
  • Advanced CNC setup and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
  • Experience with CNC mills and lathes
  • Ability to edit CNC programs at the machine
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience is a plus
  • Why Join EIP?

At Erie Industrial Products, you'll work alongside a team that values craftsmanship, accountability, and continuous improvement. We invest in our people and empower our leaders to make decisions that improve safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

This is an opportunity to lead from the front, make a real impact, and help shape the future of our machining operations.

    What Success Looks Like

In this role, you'll build a high-performing second-shift team while improving productivity, reducing scrap, developing employees, and ensuring our customers receive exceptional quality and on-time delivery.

If you're ready to take the next step in your manufacturing leadership career—and you're still passionate about machining—we'd like to hear from you.

Apply today and help build something exceptional at Erie Industrial Products.
