About Your Role


CMTS is seeking a highly motivated Senior Regional Construction Scheduler to support large-scale capital construction programs in Los Angeles, CA. This role is responsible for overseeing program-level scheduling efforts, supervising schedulers, and ensuring project schedules are accurate, compliant, and aligned with program goals. The position requires advanced expertise in Primavera P6, schedule analysis, and construction program coordination.


Education Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

OR

  • Bachelor's degree in any field with an additional two (2) years of construction scheduling experience


What You'll Need to Get the Job Done


  • Minimum ten (10) years of full-time professional experience in construction scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor
  • Experience with educational facilities or public works projects preferred
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 (latest version) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with project teams and stakeholders
  • Understanding of cost engineering principles, scheduling methodologies, and schedule forensics

What You'll Do


  • Report directly to the Senior Construction Manager for Scheduling and Estimating and provide schedule-related reports to leadership
  • Supervise Project Schedulers and coordinate with OARs, Senior Project Managers, and contractors
  • Interpret construction drawings to define project scope and sequencing
  • Review contractor baseline schedules for completeness, logic, milestones, and critical path accuracy
  • Analyze cost loading and provide detailed written schedule review comments based on LAUSD standards
  • Review monthly schedule updates and document schedule slippage and overall performance
  • Perform schedule QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with contract requirements
  • Conduct Time Impact Analysis (TIA) using windows analysis and forensic scheduling techniques
  • Evaluate contract scope and determine entitlement for time extensions
  • Communicate schedule risks and progress updates during project meetings
  • Develop and maintain program-level schedules including logic, constraints, and milestones
  • Perform regular schedule QA/QC updates and ensure data integrity across program systems
  • Prepare reports for senior management
  • Conduct site visits and monitor contractor schedule performance
