Description
RiVidium Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and manage secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud-based systems. This role focuses on hybrid and multi-cloud environments and serves as a key bridge between traditional IT infrastructure and modern cloud solutions, enabling the organization to fully leverage cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and define cloud architectures for new and existing systems and services
  • Implement and manage scalable, secure solutions using IaaS, PaaS, and event-driven architectures
  • Oversee day-to-day cloud operations to ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Establish secure, software-defined cloud interconnects between on-premises systems and cloud environments
  • Implement security controls and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and application issues with minimal disruption
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that improve performance, scalability, and security
  • Align cloud solutions with mission objectives and organizational requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with current and emerging technologies
  • Proven experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware) and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Strong knowledge of cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and analytics
  • Experience with network security, identity and access management (IdAM), and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, NIST)
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF, NIST 800-53, and STIGs
  • Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Experience with IdAM technologies such as Active Directory, Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), LDAP, and cloud-based identity solutions
  • Proficiency with scripting (e.g., PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree or vocational diploma in IT, Information Systems, or a related field
    • Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS and/or Microsoft certifications at the Associate or Expert level (e.g., Solutions Architect, Systems Administrator, or Engineer)
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Navy (DoN), or law enforcement environments

Certifications (Required):
  • Must meet DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II requirements
    • CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) required
