Operations Manager - Home Health
Polk County, FL
An established and growing home healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead its Polk County operation.
This leadership opportunity is ideal for a healthcare operations professional who enjoys building teams, driving business growth, and making a meaningful impact in the community.
The Operations Manager has full responsibility for the overall performance of the business, including financial results, team leadership, client satisfaction, and community engagement.
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a growing home healthcare business
  • Maintain full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility
  • Drive revenue growth and manage expenses to achieve business goals
  • Monitor KPIs and utilize scorecards to improve performance and accountability
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives that support operational success

Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, including:
  • Staffing professionals
  • Clinical educators
  • Scheduling personnel
  • Client service team members
  • Business development professionals
  • Participate in hiring, coaching, and performance management
  • Identify and develop future leaders within the organization
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing culture

Community & Business Development
  • Build relationships with referral partners and community stakeholders
  • Participate in field visits with team members to support business growth and service quality
  • Maintain a visible presence within the local market
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and strengthen community partnerships

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience
  • Preferred tenure of at least 3 years with previous employers
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong operational and financial management experience
  • Experience with hiring and employee development
  • Sales, service, or business development experience is a plus
  • Experience in home health, hospice, senior care, healthcare services, or related industries strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with professionalism, confidence, and accountability
