Job Description Our Client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst specializing in Cleared Derivatives and Post-Trade Operations. This role is designed for a technical "analytical detective"-someone who genuinely thrives on navigating complex regulatory rules, digging into granular system architectures, and bringing a high level of operational rigor to their work. You will own the end-to-end business analysis lifecycle for our derivatives processing ecosystem.

Acting as the critical bridge between the trading desks, clearing houses, external vendors, and technical engineering teams, you will ensure our post-trade pipelines remain robust, modern, and fully compliant. Experience required Derivatives & Clearing Mastery: Deep, practical experience with cleared derivatives and post-trade operations. You possess a comprehensive understanding of exchange workflows, middle-office allocation, clearing house mechanisms, and integration pipelines.

Exchange Onboarding (CME): Direct exposure to major clearing houses and exchanges, with a strong preference for CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) onboarding and connectivity workflows. Platform Expertise: Strong hands-on familiarity with institutional derivatives back-office and processing platforms-specifically ION / XTP (or equivalent systems like GMI). Regulatory Acumen: A solid understanding of global financial compliance, with direct experience navigating U.S

derivatives regulations. Key Responsibilities Workflow Engineering & System Architecture End-to-End Workflow Optimization: Support and optimize the complete post-trade lifecycle, encompassing trade processing, clearing house allocation, downstream integration, and automated regulatory reporting. Process & Data Mapping: Perform deep-dive system, data, and message mapping (e.g., FIX, FpML, or proprietary clearing formats)

Document current and target-state process models to identify critical solution interdependencies across upstream/downstream environments. Requirement Architecture: Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and Cleared Derivatives SMEs to elicit, challenge, and document complex business requirements using standard enterprise documentation templates. Technical Liaison & Agile Delivery Agile & Traditional Delivery: Translate intricate financial workflows into crisp functional specifications, user stories, story mapping, and explicit acceptance criteria.

Seamlessly adapt your approach across Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall frameworks depending on project scope. Technical Translation: Act as a bilingual liaison between business stakeholders (risk, compliance, operations) and core technical development/QA teams, translating regulatory and business needs into precise technical rules. Artifact Ownership: Build and maintain pristine documentation for all dimensions of the clearing platform, including product operations, regulatory compliance audits, exchange launch procedures, and underlying system functionalities.

Testing, Go-Live & Platform Governance QA & Testing Consultation: Partner with QA and UAT teams to consult on comprehensive test plans and exchange certification scenarios. Drive and manage defect triage alongside targeted application teams. Implementation & Support: Provide hands-on leadership during critical exchange cutovers and system implementations, delivering operational runbooks, user training, and post-implementation hypercare.

Industry Vigilance: Stay continuously ahead of the curve regarding shifting exchange rules, margin requirements, clearing house mandates, and emerging fintech trends. Requirements Education: University degree or college diploma in Finance, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Experience: 7+ years of Business Analysis experience within Capital Markets, with a distinct footprint in exchange-traded derivatives (ETD), clearing utilities, or prime brokerage.

Attributes: Exceptional active listening skills, high adaptability, and a willingness to stretch beyond the traditional "BA box" to ensure complex, high-stakes infrastructure deliveries succeed.
