Job description

Senior Business Development Representative, Austin TX

If you're ready to shape the future of data, join us.

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and high-performing Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive revenue and pipeline across the North American market. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a relentless, high-performance mindset to every quarter. While you will partner closely with marketing to capitalize on inbound demand, your true energy comes from building a robust pipeline from cold lists and uncovering untapped opportunities through strategic Account-Based outbounding.

We sell to the elite engineers architecting demanding systems, and your mission is to get a seat at the table with them before our competitors even know a deal exists. You won't just be pitching a product; youโ€™ll be leading with value selling, deeply understanding their technical bottlenecks and business objectives. You will expertly multithread into accounts, navigating from engineering leads up to C-level executives to assemble the full buying committee.

  • Strategic Pipeline Development: This is the core of the role. Generate a consistent, growing flow of qualified opportunities within your defined territory. You will work hand-in-hand with regional Account Executives (AEs) on territory planning and account mapping, running weekly syncs to align on target accounts and ensure your meetings convert to real revenue potential.
  • Execute Multi-Touch Cadences: Leverage AI and advanced research to map out the buying committee (from Lead Engineers to VPs of Data and Chief Architects). You break through the noise with highly personalized, multi-touch cadences across cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
  • Partner with Marketing & Demand Gen: Collaborate with Field Marketing to capitalize on event follow-ups and targeted campaigns. Engage closely with Demand Generation to action MQLs and AI-scored intent signals, ensuring rigorous qualification so no opportunity slips through the cracks.
  • Speak the Prospect's Language: Engage credibly on architecture, latency, scale, throughput, and cost. You will elevate every conversation by translating these deep technical concepts into undeniable business impact.
  • Drive Market Intelligence: Facilitate feedback loops with Marketing, Product, and Sales Leadership. Share real-time insights from the field regarding messaging effectiveness, prospect objections, product-market fit, and emerging market trends.
  • Maintain Operational Excellence: Drive a high-velocity, account-based outreach strategy. You manage your pipeline with rigor, keeping Salesforce records complete, timely, and accurate, while demonstrating elite professionalism and autonomous ownership over your book of business.
Who You Are
  • Proven Technical BDR: 2+ years of outbound pipeline generation experience. Selling into the database, data infrastructure, cloud, or developer tools space is highly preferred, backed by a track record of consistently meeting and exceeding quotas.
  • AI-Augmented Operator: You embrace the future of sales. You actively use generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to research accounts faster, scale your personalization, and work smarter than the competition.
  • A Genuine Hunter: You know how to capture the attention of a Director, VP of Engineering, or C-level executive. You speak confidently as a peer and advisor, driving authentic, high-value conversations.
  • Fearless Communicator: Strong on the phone and exceptionally quick on your feet. You don't freeze at objections; you use curiosity to turn them into the next high-value discovery question.
  • Sharp & Strategic Writer: Your outreach is concise, hyper-personalized, and impossible to ignore. You know how to write pattern-breaking copy that elite engineers actually read and respond to.
  • Fiercely Competitive & Collaborative: You are self-driven, set your own relentless pace, and hold yourself to the highest standards, but you also know how to act as a multiplier for your AEs and Marketing partners.
Your Modern, AI-Augmented Tech Stack

We care more about your workflow mastery than specific tool lock-in. You understand how to leverage a modern outbound engine to hunt efficiently and personalize at scale:

  • Research & AI: LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, plus advanced fluency in prompting AI for account research and copywriting.
How We Measure You
