Job Description

We are hiring for a Senior Business Development Manager. This role is responsible for driving new business growth by building strong relationships with fuel, propane, lubricants, and midstream companies, while developing and managing a robust sales pipeline. The individual serves as a trusted advisor, leading executive-level sales conversations, leveraging industry expertise and networks, and partnering with Solution Consultants to showcase the value of the Vertrax platform. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with leading fuel, propane, lubricants, and midstream companies.
  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of new opportunities.
  • Leverage your industry network to open doors and start meaningful conversations.
  • Lead executive-level discovery and sales conversations.
  • Work alongside our Solution Consultants and industry experts to demonstrate the Vertrax platform.
  • Manage opportunities from initial conversation through contract execution.
  • Represent Vertrax at industry conferences, trade shows, and association events.
  • Become a trusted advisor to customers navigating major technology decisions.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets. 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field required. 
  • A strong network within the fuel, propane, lubricants, and/or midstream industries.
  • Experience working for a vendor or technology provider serving the energy industry.
  • A track record of building long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong consultative selling and communication skills.
  • The ability to engage confidently with CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CIOs, and Operations leaders.
  • Curiosity, competitiveness, and a desire to win.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30-40%.

For this role, the salary range is $130,000-$150,000 annually. This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job and may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant elements.
At Acumatica, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
