The Role
Location: While this position is posted in a specific location, all of Oyster's positions are fully remote and you can work from home. Forever.To create the best experience for our new hire, this role requires you to be based within -3 / -8 UTC.
We are looking for an experienced and driven Manager, Business Development to lead a team of 7 Business Development Representatives (BDRs) across the Americas. If you are passionate about coaching, building scalable BD functions, and driving top-of-funnel growth in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.
You'll play a key part in shaping Oyster's GTM engine-coaching and enabling early-career talent, aligning closely with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps, and helping us scale sustainably. As we continue to grow, you'll have the opportunity to step into a leadership role where your impact will be felt across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Representatives across the Americas
  • Set clear goals and expectations while fostering an environment where your team can grow, thrive, and succeed
  • Provide regular, hands-on coaching to strengthen messaging, outreach strategies, and early-stage pipeline generation
  • Build and maintain performance frameworks, including activity tracking, pipeline hygiene, and CRM best practices
  • Partner with Enablement to onboard new team members and continuously improve training programs
  • Collaborate strongly with x-fn commercial teams such as Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to align on strategy and optimize processes
  • Analyze team metrics and performance data to identify trends, close gaps, and drive continuous improvement
  • Create a feedback-rich culture and support your team in progressing into future roles across the revenue org
  • Leads from the front with the team, being a proactive and driven leader who creates a culture of high performance and exceptional results
  • Establish a culture of high performance through continuous feedback, enablement and exceptional partnering with our enablement and people team Ownership of top of funnel outbound for NAMER, steering the team for success, and giving feedback and getting resourcing for maximum impact in this market

Core Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience managing high-performing BDR or Sales teams
  • Deep familiarity with NAMER sales market and buyer behavior, having operated and led in this market previously
  • Proven experience selling tech products and managing salespeople in a fast paced technology environment
  • Proven track record of developing early-career talent into strong sales professionals
  • Experience leading remote or distributed teams with empathy and effectiveness
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-growth environment with a focus on coaching and enablement
  • Proficient in Salesforce (or similar CRM) with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Ability to align day-to-day execution with broader revenue strategy and company goals
  • Strong communicator who builds trust across all levels of the organization
  • Exposure to sales methodologies like MEDDPICC, Sandler, or similar
  • Experience of adapting to new market conditions and steering the team for successful commercial outcomes
  • AI expertise for personal productivity and team productivity. Know what tools to use when and how to collaborate with RevOps for continuous drive towards innovation and high impact
