Position Summary

Würth Baer Supply Company is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day accounting operations of our growing organization. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Ensure financial records are accurate and up to date
  • Process and reconcile expense reports
  • Assist with sales tax filings and other regulatory reporting as needed
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1–2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience
  • Understanding of GAAP
  • Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing the full accounting cycle
  • Experience within a manufacturing, distribution, or wholesale environment
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
