Senior Property Bookkeeper

Location: 100% In-Office

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Type: Full-Time


About the Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Property Bookkeeper to join a stable, collaborative property management team in Northbrook. This is a great opportunity for someone who knows property accounting, is highly comfortable working in Yardi, and enjoys taking ownership of the day-to-day financial details.

What You’ll Do

  • Handle full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting for a portfolio of properties
  • Maintain tenant ledgers and process owner distributions in Yardi
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple operating and trust accounts
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Process vendor invoices and utility allocations
  • Monitor tenant balances and delinquency activity
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records


What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting experience within property management or real estate
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Yardi required
  • Strong experience with month-end closings and bank reconciliations
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties and accounts
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookups
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
