Job description

We are seeking a Senior Benefits Analyst to join our team at NOV. This role serves as a subject matter expert for benefits operations, analytics, compliance, and vendor performance. It is a critical link between our employee benefits strategy and its successful execution. As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver health, welfare, retirement, and wellbeing programs that align with our business objectives and market competitiveness. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring compliance and managing vendor relationships. The position also leads complex benefits projects, including annual enrollment, vendor implementations, acquisitions and integrations, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in employee benefits, preferably within a large, multi-location and global organization.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. health and welfare and retirement benefit programs.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing large datasets and translating findings into business recommendations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, and complex data analysis.
  • Experience working with HRIS and benefits administration systems such as Oracle HCM, UKG, ADP, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to lead cross-functional benefits initiatives, manage competing priorities, and drive successful execution across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong analytic skills with superior attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills inclusive of developing presentations.

Preferred

  • Experience with self-funded medical plans, pharmacy benefit management, stop-loss insurance, and vendor financial analysis.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and organizational integrations.
  • Experience working with global benefits and international HR teams.
  • CEBS or CBP certification preferred.

  • Stay updated with legislative and regulatory changes, partnering with Legal and Compliance teams for implementation.
  • Ensure accurate administration of benefit plans through effective oversight of internal processes and external vendors.
