Job description

Description
DeMontrond Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Administrator to manage and support the administration of employee benefits programs across the organization. This role serves as a key resource for employees, vendors, carriers, and HR team members, ensuring accurate benefits administration, compliance, employee communication, vendor coordination, and benefits-related recordkeeping.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), COBRA, and supplemental benefits.
  • Process enrollments, qualifying life events, dependent changes, terminations, and benefit updates.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee benefits questions and provide timely support.
  • Coordinate with carriers, third-party administrators, payroll, and vendors to resolve coverage, billing, and eligibility issues.
  • Support open enrollment activities, benefits communications, and new hire benefit orientations.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices and payroll deductions, identifying and resolving discrepancies for both self-funded and fully funded plans.
  • Assist with administration of leave and disability programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, PWFA, STD, and LTD.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, including ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and related laws.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate benefit records, reports, and documentation.
  • Partner with HR and Payroll to support onboarding, offboarding, status changes, and process improvements.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of benefits administration or related HR experience required.
  • Experience with fully funded and self-funded benefit plans preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits compliance, including ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP preferred), Microsoft Office, and benefits administration platforms.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
