About the RoleThe Senior Behavioral Technician plays a vital leadership role within the behavioral health team. This position supports individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, while also serving as a mentor and guide to newly hired Behavioral Technicians. The Senior Behavioral Technician ensures high-quality service delivery and helps maintain consistency and integrity in the implementation of individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities - Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support to clients using evidence-based practices as outlined in their Behavior Support Plans.
- Assist in onboarding new Behavioral Technicians by modeling best practices and providing real-time coaching and feedback.
- Help train new hires to clinical protocols, documentation standards, and organizational expectations.
- Serve as a point of contact for new staff with day-to-day questions or concerns during their initial training period.
- Monitor treatment data collection and support quality assurance efforts by reviewing documentation and providing constructive feedback.
- Support ongoing training efforts by facilitating peer observations, shadowing, and modeling appropriate behavior support techniques.
- Attend clinical meetings, contribute observations and suggestions, and support interdisciplinary team collaboration.
- Maintain ethical standards and client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and BACB guidelines.
- Remain up to date on client needs, changes in programming, and continuing education in the field of ABA.
Qualifications - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Behavioral Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
- Current RBT certification
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to mentor and train others effectively.
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and behavior intervention strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Must pass all required background checks and maintain certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Initiative to frequently check emails for admin communications
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.

Pay Range: $25 - $35 per hour
