What are Senior Bee Researchers?

Senior Bee Researchers are experienced scientists who study bees, their behavior, ecology, genetics, and the factors affecting their populations. They often lead research projects, analyze data, and publish findings to advance knowledge about bees and support conservation efforts. These experts may also collaborate with agricultural organizations, environmental agencies, and policymakers to address issues like pollinator decline and sustainable beekeeping. Their work is critical for supporting food production and maintaining healthy ecosystems.

What are the common challenges faced by Senior Bee Researchers in fieldwork and data collection?

Senior Bee Researchers often encounter challenges such as unpredictable weather conditions, which can impact bee activity and the success of field studies. Managing large-scale data collection across multiple sites requires careful planning and coordination, especially when monitoring wild or managed bee populations. Job description

Help define a new category of ambient AI from the ground up. Bee is building a wearable that listens to your day and turns everyday context into a personal AI and we need a Senior Product Designer to help shape what this becomes.
You'll design cross-device experiences that span Bee's core product and broader ecosystems, defining interaction models for ambient, context-aware computing. This is a rare opportunity to work on a 0-to-1 product with a small, senior team where you'll have high ownership, startup pace and Amazon scale

Key job responsibilities
- Design end-to-end experiences across Bee's mobile app, wearable hardware and integrations with third-party ecosystems (Amazon Alexa, Apple Watch, smart home devices, and more)
- Define and prototype interaction models for ambient, always-listening AI, solving for privacy, context-awareness, and seamless multi-surface experiences
- Own the design process from concept to launch: research, wireframes, high-fidelity mocks, prototypes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and leadership to balance user needs, business goals, technical constraints and a high craft bar
- Move fast and iterate in a high-ambiguity environment, comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and learning through shipping
- Establish and evolve design systems and patterns that scale across Bee's growing product ecosystem
About the team
We're a small, senior team building a new category of ambient AI that lives with you throughout your day. Think early days energy with the resources and distribution of Amazon behind us.
The team is intentionally lean. Everyone owns significant pieces of the product, and you'll work directly with engineers and product leaders daily

Decisions happen in hours, not weeks. We prototype fast, ship often, and learn by putting things in people's hands (and on their wrists).
