Position: Lead Automation Engineer

Location: Monticello, AR
Description: A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Automation/Controls Engineer to get in on the ground floor of a greenfield plant build, where you"ll play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing automation and process control systems from scratch. In this role, you"ll be deeply involved in the full project lifecycle, including working with vendors, reviewing proposals, supporting equipment installation, and driving commissioning efforts as the plant comes online. You"ll serve as the site"s process control lead, collaborating with engineering, operations, and contractors while helping shape the future structure of the controls team. This position offers high visibility, long-term growth potential, and the chance to make a lasting impact on a major manufacturing operation.
* Hands on experience with PLC programming and process control in a manufacturing environment
* Proven ability to lead or mentor others and the ability to work independently on a greenfield project and take initiative
* Prior experience working on-site in a plant environment
* Strong troubleshooting skills within automation and manufacturing systems
* Solid communication skills and a commitment to safety
