Job Title: Senior Accountant Job Location: Seattle, WA Job Type: Full Time- Direct Hire The Senior Accountant supports the accounting function and is an integral part of the Core Services team. This position is responsible for overseeing monthly close, accounts payable and receivable, and conducting other ad hoc tasks related to finance. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry and be familiar with its unique financial and accounting requirements. The Senior Accountant is excellent at recording data and able to produce clear financial reports. The Senior Accountant works under the direct supervision of the Controller and is a full-time, exempt role located in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle. Responsibilities Financial Record Maintenance: Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Provide regular financial reports (weekly, monthly, and yearly) Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including the preparation and filing of tax returns and other regulatory documents. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
