POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is to perform installation of network & AV equipment along with cabling and terminations on designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame, specifications, and budget parameters.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Document networks by labeling routing equipment and cables and recording diagrams and specifications. Update drawings as built and record under the SOP.
  • Test circuits and components to isolate malfunctioning systems by using test meters.
  • Assemble and install electronic equipment such as switches, wiring, AV, WAPs, cameras and speakers.
  • Inspect cabling systems and equipment on a regular basis so that any malfunctions or potential problems can be determined and handled on time.
  • Ascertain minimum downtime by ensuring that troubleshooting activities are performed in a proactive manner.
  • Terminate and test new cables to ensure that they are properly incorporated into the system and are in good working order.
  • Clean up and discard any unneeded items in performed work environment.
  • Work with the Engineer(s), and Project Manager to lead and complete the planning, integration, and customer acceptance of the assigned project within the scope, time and budget of the project.
  • Writes project progress status and reports to the project manager and informs if modifications are required. Provides As-Builts at project completion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

HOW YOU'LL DO IT

  • Thorough understanding of project plans, specifications, and knowledge of A/V methods and materials while assisting in project coordination.
  • Supports A/V Engineer/Programmer.
  • Supports A/V Technician.
  • Enforce job safety and maintain compliance with safety standards.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work and think independently and interact with fellow employees and customers in a professional manner.
  • Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.
  • Maintaining high level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality with respect to company matters.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Use of power tools and the ability to solder and crimp connectors along with various other network and audiovisual installations systems related tasks.
  • Understanding of architectural, electrical, and mechanical elements.
  • Ability to read measuring devices, add/subtract, and use testing equipment.
  • CCENT/CCNA, BICSI, and or CAPM qualifications are strongly preferred.

WHAT WILL HELP

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be flexible and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
