Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide essential, hands-on care to residents in our skilled nursing community. In this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting residents' physical, emotional, and daily care needs while helping maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
This position may also be known as:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Nurse Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or Caregiver, depending on experience and certification.
Summary
The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) provides direct personal care and support to residents in accordance with individualized care plans, state regulations, and Americare standards. This role works closely with nursing and therapy teams to ensure residents receive high-quality, respectful, and person-centered care.
What You'll Do
  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist with transfers, lifting, repositioning, and mobility as needed
  • Observe, document, and report changes in resident condition and care provided
  • Support restorative nursing and therapy activities as directed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and homelike environment for residents
  • Report accidents, incidents, or concerns involving residents, staff, or visitors
  • Work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of required safety equipment

What You Bring
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Valid CNA certification in the state of employment
  • Previous experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred, but not required

Physical Demands
  • Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed
  • Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance
  • Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.

Safety Expectations
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including two-person lifts and use of mechanical lift equipment
  • Utilize required PPE to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens
  • Report work-related injuries promptly and complete required documentation
