Job Description:
Job Summary
The Senior Assistant Director of Residential Housing Operations (Residential Services) is responsible for overseeing the operations of all front desks and ensuring a positive residential experience for all students. This role supervises a team of 5 Assistant Directors of Residential Services and provides guidance on the Move-in and Move-out processes. The supervisor will ensure the quality and accuracy of all communication related to Residential Services and will be involved in training and development programs for full-time clerks and Assistant Directors. Additionally, this position provides support to summer programs operations to ensure a smooth and successful event execution and is responsible for managing progressive discipline tracking and enforcement within the department.ember in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of entry-level staff, as well as managing large process that contribute to the development of goals and planning efforts for the department. Few of these processes include: professional and student staff training, coaching and leadership development and progressive discipline and recognition processes. The Senior Assistant Director will also serve on-call duties, collaborate with the Residential Life Committee to assess and enhance the residential experience, and conduct detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to provide assessments of residential success. Additionally, the Senior Assistant Director will have key role in the of all move-in and move-out process for Residential Life. The supervisor will ensure the quality and accuracy of all communication related to their area of oversight.
What We're Looking For:
  • Master's degree in management or related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience leading a team.
  • Equivalent level of education and experience will be considered.
  • Broad knowledge of front desk operations
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, manage, and develop professional staff
  • Demonstrated skills in project management and fiscal analysis
  • Ability to offer leadership, vision, and strategic planning that will contribute to comprehensive University facilities and residences programs
  • Ability to establish long and short-term goals consistent with the mission of the university and the division.
  • Ability to build, develop, and cultivate relationships across campus and externally with a variety of constituents.
  • Self-motivated, have attention to detail, and adept at solving problems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse constituents.
  • Strong communication (written/oral) as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient at computer software word processing, spreadsheet, electronic communication, etc.
  • Demonstrated skills in reviewing and managing vendor contracts
