Position: Middle School English/Language Arts Teacher
School: Thomas A. Edison Jr./Sr. High School
Position Summary:
Thomas A. Edison Jr./Sr. High School is seeking a highly motivated Middle School English/Language Arts Teacher. The successful candidate will provide engaging, standards-based instruction in reading, writing, grammar, and communication while creating a positive and supportive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Indiana teaching license or eligibility for appropriate licensure
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
  • Commitment to collaboration, student growth, and building positive relationships
  • Transition to Teaching candidates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver instruction aligned with Indiana Academic Standards
  • Monitor student progress and use assessment data to guide instruction
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal
