Job Title: Senior Architectural CAD Drafter

Job Summary: The Senior Architectural CAD Drafter works closely with architects, engineers, and designers to create accurate and detailed drawings for architectural projects. They use CAD software to produce plans, elevations, sections, and other technical drawings necessary for the design and construction process. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural principles, construction techniques, and building codes.

Responsibilities:

Drafting: Produce accurate and detailed architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details based on architectural designs and specifications provided by architects and designers.
CAD Software: Utilize CAD software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, or ArchiCAD) proficiently to create and modify drawings according to project requirements.
Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure drawings meet project objectives and specifications. Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical components into architectural drawings.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain drawing sets, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to industry standards and building codes.
Revision Management: Manage revisions and updates to drawings throughout the design and construction process, incorporating feedback and changes as required.
Quality Control: Review drawings for errors, omissions, and inconsistencies, ensuring accuracy and completeness before submission for approval.
Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, clients, and contractors to clarify design intent, resolve issues, and address feedback related to architectural drawings.
Code Compliance: Ensure drawings comply with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements governing architectural design and construction.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience or vocational training may be considered.
Experience: Proven experience working as an architectural CAD drafter or similar role in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry. Familiarity with architectural design principles, construction methods, and building codes.
CAD Proficiency: Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or ArchiCAD. Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software is a plus.
