Description
The Senior Application Developer designs, enhances, and maintains cloud- and web-based applications in a Microsoft environment, supporting both existing systems and new development for internal and external clients while independently handling complex technical work.
Essential Job Functions
  • Design and develop complex applications and code based upon business requirements
  • Test the designed/created solution for functionality and identify errors
  • Ensures that business requirements and performance/security expectations are met
  • Troubleshoot and modify existing programs to enhance performance
  • Mentor to Application Developers, increasing their knowledge in coding and ability to navigate around technical challenges, and responsible and effective use of AI-assisted development techniques.
  • Reviews pull requests, providing constructive feedback when necessary
  • Maintain and update application CI/CD pipeline's
  • Writes work items to assist in the evolution of the product technology
  • Provide top level support on production related issues
  • Leverages AI-assisted development tools (e.g., code completion, test generation, analysis tools) to improve development efficiency and solution quality
  • Applies critical judgment when using AI-generated outputs, ensuring correctness, security, and alignment with business requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology or related field of study from an accredited college or university, or a software certification specific to full stack web development (front end and back end), or a minimum of two years of direct work experience in front end and back end development preferably in a healthcare related organization
  • Strong working knowledge of web applications development and software design including microservices architecture, data modeling, and user interface design
  • Demonstrated proficiency in; 1) Microsoft .NET Framework and related Microsoft development technologies 2) unit testing techniques; 3) advanced application knowledge in the product domain assigned to their team

Preferred Qualifications (working knowledge of the following)
  • Front End - React and Typescript / Bootstrap; Azure Web Services
  • Back End - C#, Python and MS SQL in addition to knowledge base of Front End
  • Healthcare billing and X12.837 structured documents

Competencies
  • Experience in a variety of software architectural and engineering concepts such as Service Oriented Architecture, Data Modeling, Microservices, and N-tier development
  • Strong organizational problem solving and project management skills; detail oriented
  • Advanced technical skills required, including Microsoft office and Excel
  • Results driven team player working in an agile development environment
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written); ability to maintain confidential information
