Job description

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst, Commercial Analytics plays a key role in transforming complex healthcare data into actionable business insights that drive brand performance and support strategic decision-making. This individual contributor will partner closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, market access, patient support services, and commercial operations to uncover opportunities, evaluate performance drivers, and improve patient outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with healthcare data expertise and a passion for translating data into meaningful business impact.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze and integrate data from multiple sources, including medical claims, prescription data, HUB services, specialty pharmacy, and commercial datasets to identify key business performance drivers
  • Translate business questions into structured analyses that generate actionable insights to inform brand strategy, patient journey optimization, and field execution
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and performance reporting to monitor trends and measure success across the patient journey
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and business decisions
  • Evaluate data quality and identify opportunities to improve data integrity, consistency, and usability across systems
  • Deliver clear and compelling analyses through presentations, visualizations, and business-focused storytelling
  • Support forecasting activities, market assessments, and ad hoc analytical requests
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial analytics, business analytics, or a related analytical function
  • Experience working with healthcare datasets, including claims, prescription (Rx), medical claims, HUB, specialty pharmacy, or similar data sources
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and experience working with large, complex datasets in environments such as Snowflake or similar platforms
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and analytical techniques used to support business decision-making
  • Experience translating analytical findings into actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of patient journey analytics, funnel analysis, and market access dynamics
  • Experience supporting forecasting, segmentation, or performance analytics initiatives
  • Exposure to Python or R for data exploration and analysis

Physical Requirements

This role involves regular standing, walking, sitting, and the use of hands for handling or operating equipment. The employee may also need to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and maintain visual, verbal, and auditory communication in a standard office environment and while working independently from remote locations. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  This position requires the ability to travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as required by travel schedules or business needs.
