Sr. Analyst, Engineering Program/Project Management
Job Family Summary:
  • Engineering Program/Project Management is responsible for managing the execution of programs and/or projects consisting of single or multiple projects and/or programs.
  • May manage project and/or program managers within assigned program and/or project.
  • Works within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of project management principals.
  • Conducts medium to large-scale needs assessments and audience analysis projects requiring multiple data sources.
  • Incorporates data into course design for complex courses.
  • Manages multiple design projects with minimal definition and broader scope.
  • Uses in-depth knowledge to select instructional techniques and defines and sequences instructional content.
  • Independently creates instructional materials and products.
  • Independently evaluates and assesses instructional programs using Kirkpatrick's four levels of evaluation.
  • Through research, identifies external vendors to meet specific business needs.
  • Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own job family.
  • Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations.
  • Works independently with minimal guidance.
  • Usually determines own work priorities.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project, portfolio, and functional management teams to ensure project execution predictability
  • Manage project cost and schedule, including budget, forecast, commitments, accruals, Work-In-Place, milestones, WBS, progress, critical path, risks, contingency, and KPI's
  • Work with Project and Functional Managers to forecast and reconcile resource and budget allocations for active sustaining projects
  • Coordinates and tracks multiple key projects and tasks
  • Maintains resource loading and linked project schedules that can be utilized to analyze resource allocations, completion dates and critical path
  • Manage the project change control process and maintain the schedule baseline and current budget to reflect approved changes
  • Provide periodic project portfolio status reports (cost, schedule and risk mitigation)
  • Execute the project completion close out process, finalizing schedule, and reconciling schedule/cost performance against baseline
  • Ensure effective and efficient regular formal and informal communications between the Projects, Portfolio Management, and key stakeholders using a variety of tools and channels

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project
  • Experience with project portfolio management tools such as Planview Enterprise
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP
  • Familiarity with final assembly operations of electronic devices
  • Experience with LEAN Six-Sigma methodologies
  • Sound business acumen and financial performance knowledge
  • Exceptional critical thinking and change management skills
  • Demonstrates prioritization utilizing strong analytical decision-making skills
  • Knowledge-of and experience-in structured product development life-cycle processes
  • Effective meeting management and group facilitation skills
