Job description

The Advisor in the Family Office provides world-class service to their team's clients. Provides leadership, direction, and accountability for team members, ensuring their on-going growth and development.
Requirements
Principal Accountabilities:
  1. Client Service - Supports Senior Advisor in serving clients with excellence, providing biblical counsel through biblical relationships, and challenging them in key areas to facilitate growth. May service as primary point of contact for assigned client relationships.
  • Serves Senior Advisor in a manner that helps him/her gain additional leverage to focus on business development activities.
  • Strives to build organizational capacity, create, and seize business development opportunities, and maintain a healthy commitment to results.
  • Empathetically listens and can apply biblical principles in the practice of financial investment, life coaching and planning strategies.
  • Seeks to continually increase knowledge of biblical financial principles and scripture memory verses in order to integrate this knowledge into all phases of client conversations and services and in a manner consistent with Blue Trust's approach to client counsel.
  • Under the guidance and direction of the Senior Advisor, provides excellent service to an affluent client base by interpreting and delivering new financial plans to new clients and on-going counsel and support to existing clients.
  • Effectively adapts communication style as required to ensure productive interaction with team members and clients - especially related to the varied needs and perspectives.
  • With Senior Advisor, supports appropriate diagnoses of the needs of the clients in order to develop and implement excellent financial solutions; actively participates in the timely review of clients' financial information to ensure their goals and objectives are being met.
  • Work in conjunction with Senior Advisor and Associate Advisor to initiate client meetings, follow up on meetings and respond to client inquiries regarding actions taken to accomplish goals.

  • In most cases, manages day-to-day leadership, training, and development responsibilities for Associate Advisors, Financial Planners, and (Sr.) Client Service Associates on the team, ensuring all are well-equipped to perform their jobs' responsibilities and are continually learning and developing.
  • Coordinates with subject matter experts to ensure client engagement objectives are met.
  • Leads team in a manner that is consistent with Company's Management Language, leadership principles and values.
  • Practices the art of leadership by participating in a healthy, productive, continually learning work culture
  • Approaches work, interactions and relationships in a manner consistent with the Company's Core Values
  • Maintains the highest Compliance standards by adhering to the company's Human Resources guidelines, Compliance policies and procedures, professional designation standards, and industry's regulatory standards to mitigate risk to the company.
3. Business Development - Demonstrates a growing ability to create and seize business development opportunities through client engagement and involvement in spheres of influence to further the mission of the Company and have increasing impact in the lives of both current and potential future clients' lives.

  • Evaluates and identifies potential referral sources and networks where new opportunities for business may be found.
  • Introduces clients to the complete range of Blue Trust services.
  • Leverages professional networks to identify and cultivate new prospects, with the expectation of generating leads, prospects, and new business.
  • Meets activity goals and new business goals.
  • Continually looks for ways to enhance service to existing clients and bring Biblical counsel to new clients.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of both the old and new testaments of the Bible, particularly with regard to scriptural references to money and finances, and an ability to apply and integrate this knowledge into all phases of client counsel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong business development skills, including prospecting, networking, and converting leads into opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex financial issues.

Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree is required with a focus in finance, financial planning, economics, accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years prior experience as a Financial Planner or two+ (2+) years as an Advisor

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:
  • Completion of the Certified Financial Planner® or other applicable professional designation strongly preferred.
  • Advisors are required to have or obtain an industry recognized designation (e.g. CFP, CPA, CFA, CMA, ChFC, etc.) within 2 years of assuming their position and have all professional requirements to register in the state in which their office is located and any additional states where the advisor's client's dwell.
