Job description

We are partnering with a highly regarded and growing company to identify a Senior Accounting Manager who will play a key leadership role within the finance organization.


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys leading teams, owning the close and reporting process, and helping build scalable processes in a dynamic environment. The Senior Accounting Manager will work closely with the Controller and finance leadership, with broad visibility across the business and meaningful opportunity to influence how the accounting function evolves.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules prepared by the accounting team.
  • Oversee general ledger activity and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reporting packages, and variance analyses.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team while fostering a collaborative, accountable culture.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and operational initiatives.
  • Support the annual audit, tax compliance, and other external reporting requirements.
  • Review accounting treatment for complex and non-routine transactions.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, streamline processes, and automate manual accounting workflows.
  • Assist with ERP enhancements, system implementations, acquisitions, and other strategic projects as the company continues to grow.
  • Serve as a trusted resource to leadership by providing thoughtful analysis and practical recommendations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful management or leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and the month-end close process.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, multi-entity, or complex operating environment preferred.
  • Prior public accounting experience is a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and review the work of others.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and comfortable balancing strategic priorities with hands-on accounting responsibilities.
