Job description

TITLE: Senior Accounting Manager


LOCATION: Bryn Mawr, PA


JOB DESCRIPTION: Seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for our outsourced services division. Our VendorSync division provides outsourced management of contingent workforce vendors for public school districts. In this role, you will work directly with the company's senior financial executives as well operational leaders within the VendorSync Division to build out this new service offering.


As the Senior Accounting Manager, you'll put to use an analytical mind and strong organization skills; we will expect you to be detail-oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines.


The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the financial system within the division and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and maintain all financial transitions for the VendorSync Division

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

  • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices

  • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations

  • Oversee weekly client invoicing and posting of invoices to the General Ledger.

  • Oversee cash management and posting payments

  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines

  • Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned

  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed

  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings

  • Assist with other accounting projects


SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be an \"advanced-level user\" with Excel, with special attention paid to VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.

  • Must have proficient technical software skills. Must be comfortable toggling between multiple systems throughout the day.

  • Must be comfortable \"living in the numbers\".

  • Proven experience in similar accounting roles

  • Excellent organizing abilities

  • Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen

  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. SAP)

  • BS/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field
