Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Consultant to support a nonprofit organization with day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on Sage experience, and advanced Excel skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
  • Review accounts for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with budgeting, reporting, and other accounting projects as needed
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and established accounting procedures


Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP
  • Sage experience required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Previous senior-level accounting experience
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Nonprofit accounting experience preferred
