Location: Hybrid/Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Controller / Accounting Manager
Salary Range
$85,000 - $100,000 annually
Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, and education.
Position Summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant. This role will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, leading month-end and year-end close activities, and supporting financial reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger experience, excellent reconciliation skills, and hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, medium sized ERP system Essential Responsibilities
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and account adjustments.
  • Perform and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial data and investigate account variances.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of general ledger transactions.
  • Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain accounting records in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and analysis.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Support system optimization and accounting process improvements within QuickBooks and Sage Intacct.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Strong experience with:
    • General Ledger Accounting
    • Account Reconciliations
    • Financial Reporting
    • Journal Entries and Accruals
    • Balance Sheet Analysis
  • Proficiency with:
    • QuickBooks
    • Sage Intacct
    • Other Medium Sized ERP System
    • Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reporting, and data analysis)
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA certification or CPA candidate.
  • Experience supporting external audits.
  • Multi-entity and/or multi-location accounting experience.
