We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant /Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our growing team in Knoxville, TN. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional with at least 7 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years of SEC reporting experience who thrives in a collaborative, office-based environment and is passionate about financial accuracy, compliance, and business advisory services.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial reporting, overseeing accounting operations, supporting tax compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to leadership. This position will report to the Controller and will assist the CFO as necessary.

Job Type: Full-Time Work Setting: In-Office Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience + benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review internal monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare and review SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other required disclosures.
  • Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Coordinate and support annual audits and tax filings.
  • Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements.
  • Prepare and review sales tax, and other regulatory filings as needed.
