Job description

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You'll be aligned to a specific Sport team or priority projects, working independently with Footwear Product Designers to deliver exceptional 3D visualization and production support. You'll collaborate with development, engineering, and Asia partners to ensure designs transition smoothly from concept to manufacturing while mentoring junior designers.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You're an experienced 3D designer with deep craft expertise and a strong understanding of footwear manufacturing. You work independently, proactively solve complex modeling challenges, and are adept at using gen Al to accelerate your creative process. You mentor junior designers and help bridge the gap between design intent and manufacturability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • 4+ years of experience in 3D design creation role
  • High proficiency in poly modeling with deep knowledge of industry-standard 3D packages (Blender, Maya, Rhino, Grasshopper and Vizcom)
  • Advanced rendering skills with ability to create custom materials (diffuse, normal, bump, alpha maps) Strong understanding of footwear manufacturing requirements and engineering constraints
  • Proven ability to apply generative Al workflows to enhance ideation speed and creative output
  • Experience with 3D printing and additive manufacturing for rapid prototyping
  • Portfolio demonstrating ability to design, model, and execute high-quality 3D content

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You'll independently deliver production-quality 3D models and visualizations for mid-to-high complexity projects while leveraging generative AI to accelerate workflows. You'll mentor junior designers, partner early with design teams to influence direction, and ensure manufacturability.
  • Partner with your Sport team's Footwear Product Designers early in the process to provide design feedback, create refined concept models, and help establish design direction before moving to development
  • Integrate generative Al workflows into your daily practice to rapidly explore design variations, accelerate ideation, and deliver more iterations in less time
  • Use 3D printing strategically to create physical prototypes that validate design concepts and accelerate decision-making with designers and leadership
  • Create CAD files and technical documentation that clearly convey design direction to Asia factories, ensuring accurate translation from concept to production
  • Proactively Identify and resolve manufacturing challenges, working directly with designers to modify products for feasibility while preserving design intent
  • Mentor 3D Designer Il team members, helping them develop both traditional craft skills and proficiency with new generative Al tools
  • Work Independently across inline projects, hackathons, and priority projects, knowing when to ask for support on the most complex challenges
