Job description

Terms of Agreement:
  • 20-30 hours per week; includes some evening/weekend hours
  • 2-year consecutive commitment.
  • Must maintain passing grades in enrolled Master of Arts in Leadership coursework
  • Full Graduate Tuition for the Masters of Arts in Leadership Program
  • On Campus Housing
  • Block 190 Meal Plan
  • Compensation potential under the hiring and acceptance of Residence Life job duties

Student Engagement Team (SET):
  • Support student leaders on the SET team through facilitating weekly 1:1 and team meetings
  • Take lead role in managing SET's social media pages
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of meaningful events and experiences for UJ students
  • Attend SET events and assist with set up and clean up.

Intramurals:
  • Build and facilitate registration process for all intramural sports.
  • Assist with set up, implementation, and tear down of intramural activities.
  • Provide leadership to Work Study students during intramural activities.

Student Senate:
  • Attend weekly Student Senate meetings.
  • Assist with Student Senate functions.

Welcome Weekend:
  • Assist with the planning and training of Welcome Weekend Leaders.
  • Be a consistent presence throughout all Welcome Weekend activities.

Student Engagement:
  • Maintain Lyngstad and Badal Nafus Student Center bulletin boards ensuring posters are appropriate and current.
  • Hold a minimum of 10 regularly scheduled office hours per week.
  • Contribute to the Student Affairs team and be available for departmental support as schedule allows.

Qualifications:
  • Must be accepted as a full-time, degree-seeking student in the UJ Leadership graduate program.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the mission of the University of Jamestown.
  • Demonstrate ability to be self-motivated, self-reflective, and to conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
