Job description

About SENA Industrial & Our Enterprise Vision

SENA Technologies is a global leader in Bluetooth and Mesh communication systems, trusted by millions in the powersports and outdoor industries. Leveraging our proven expertise in team communication, SENA Industrial is strategically expanding into the enterprise vertical with a next-generation communication solution. We are seeking a Business Development & Sales Representative to lead the market entry of this innovative solution in North America.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be the foundational sales driver, responsible for accelerating the adoption of our next-generation industrial communication solution. Working closely with the Applications Engineering team, you will be the primary driver of market execution. Your mission is to build a robust sales pipeline from the ground up, establish strategic partnerships with channel dealers, and secure high-impact pilot projects. As a core member of the enterprise team, you will have the direct opportunity to scale a transformative business in the North American market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Prospecting & Pipeline Management: Identify high-potential market segments and decision-making structures to build and manage a systematic sales pipeline from scratch.
  • Active Lead Development: Execute targeted outreach via cold-calling, digital prospecting, and field visits to qualify B2B opportunities among end-users, dealers, and system integrators.
  • Sales Execution & Revenue Growth: Own the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing, with a relentless focus on securing pilot projects for field validation and achieving aggressive revenue targets.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with the Senior Applications Engineer to deliver high-quality product demonstrations and oversee the successful execution of Proof of Concept (PoC) installations.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies to refine sales tactics and provide the product team with actionable field insights.
  • Sales Operations: Maintain a transparent CRM pipeline (NetSuite) and provide concise, data-driven updates on field activity and conversion hurdles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university. A degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is a plus, but not required if the candidate has a strong sales track record.
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in B2B sales, technical sales, or business development (IT hardware or industrial VAR/dealer background preferred).
  • A self-starter who thrives on prospecting and possesses the professional resilience to navigate complex sales cycles.
  • Ability to build rapport and influence diverse stakeholders, from on-site field managers to C-level executives.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time (initially focused on Texas and the Southwest region).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the construction, telecommunications, or IoT industries.
  • Experience in a "Zero-to-One" phase, building a client base where no prior brand presence existed.
  • Technical literacy regarding Wi-Fi networking, mesh topologies, or industrial connectivity.
  • Netsuite or other CRM system knowledge.
