Job Description

Our Quality Assurance Laboratory Team is looking for an experienced Principal Test Engineer in our Palm Bay, Florida office to help the growing demand for power products which support Artificial Intelligence.

A successful candidate will serve as a technical leader responsible for developing and executing test solutions across multiple ATE platforms, supporting qualification down-point testing, failure validation, electrical troubleshooting, and characterization efforts. In addition, this position will provide day-to-day direction and oversight for a small team of test technicians and operators.

This role is ideal for an advanced level semiconductor test engineer who enjoys hands-on technical work, solving challenging electrical problems, and supporting reliability, failure analysis, and NPI efforts for advanced power semiconductor products.

A successful candidate would have knowledge or experience in the following:

  • Develop, debug, optimize, and maintain test programs and hardware solutions on:
    • Eagle Test Systems
    • Advantest V93000
    • SPEA
    • Diamond X platforms
  • Key understanding of how to integrate and use Handlers for ATE testing. Handlers can include Asmo and MT9510.
  • Design and implement automated test methodologies for engineering characterization, qualification, and failure analysis support.
  • Improve test efficiency, repeatability, coverage, and correlation across multiple test platforms.
  • Support test hardware development including load boards, interface boards, sockets, and associated instrumentation.
  • Analyze electrical data and identify degradation trends, parametric shifts, and failure signatures.
  • Provide technical guidance and daily oversight for a small team of test technicians and operators.
  • Prioritize workload and ensure timely completion of qualification, characterization, and FA support activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and test capability.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in semiconductor test engineering.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering
  • Proven experience developing and debugging test programs on multiple ATE platforms.
  • Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to independently drive complex investigations with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to lead through influence while remaining a hands-on technical contributor.
  • Comfortable working across global, cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Success Measures:

  • Timely execution of qualification down-point testing and characterization programs.
  • Reduction in FA validation cycle time.
  • Improved test coverage, correlation, and efficiency across ATE platforms.
