Job description

Introduction
Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Crystal Process Engineering Technician position located in Orlando, FL. This position is a direct hire opportunity which is expected to be on-site.


Position Summary:
The Crystal Process Engineering Technician will support crystal engineering team by performing technical tasks related to crystal testing, equipment maintenance, process evaluation, and documentation. This role requires hands-on involvement with multiple disciplines and contributes to ensuring the efficiency and reliability of crystal production processes. 


Job Description:


  • Test various crystal products (i.e: Filter crystals, discrete, monolithic, MRW versions as well as round blank crystals.
  • Repairs crystal process equipment and ensures equipment uptime.
  • Performs preventative maintenance tasks on key crystal processing equipment like vacuum systems, pumps, compressors, etc.
  • Performs screening and qualification processes such as G-sensitivity, phase noise, vibration, shock, thermal shock, etc.
  • Creates and updates production documentation and/or procedures assigned.
  • Updates production level equipment and test systems as required
  • Performs data collection and work towards statistical evaluation of processes


Qualified candidates would have the following:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Hands-on role requiring collaboration across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with various hand tools.
  • Understanding of vacuum pumps, compressors, and related system preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work cohesivity in a team environment
  • Experiences performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, and process data collection
  • Must be able to work with ITAR data without a license. 

Education, Experience and Training:
  • Associates degree or technical certification in Engineering technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of technical experience is desired. 
  • Hands-on experience in crystal manufacturing, semiconductor processing, or precision equipment operation is highly preferred. 
  • Must have background and experience with vacuum systems.
