Description
The Student Services and Athletics Office is seeking dependable and energetic student workers to support a variety of responsibilities in the areas of event coordination, athletic media, and office administration. This is a dynamic role, and many responsibilities will be shared among a team of student workers throughout the year. This posting is for students to start with fall 2026 academic semester.
Examples of Duties
Key Responsibilities:
Graphics & Multimedia
โ€ข Design and edit animated graphics for the video board.
โ€ข Operate the video board during home athletic games and special events.
โ€ข Capture and organize event photos.
โ€ข Create promotional flyers for clubs and activities.
โ€ข Distribute flyers by posting in residence halls or providing them to dorm advisors for distribution.
Event Support
โ€ข Assist with setup and takedown of Student Services events (e.g., cornhole boards, tables, signage, activity stations).
โ€ข Support event logistics and equipment handling before, during, and after events.
โ€ข Provide on-site support to ensure smooth execution of activities.
โ€ข Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift 10 pounds or more, follow directions, and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
Administrative Support
โ€ข Perform general office duties such as data entry, document formatting, and file organization.
โ€ข Use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) for reports, scheduling, and communications.
โ€ข Maintain confidentiality and exhibit professionalism in all aspects of the job.

To be considered for the Student Worker - Student Services, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Current enrollment at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology Must be a registered student in good academic standing.
  • Ability to alphabetize documents and materials accurately for filing and administrative tasks.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint for scheduling, reporting, and communication.
  • Effective communication skills Able to follow directions clearly and collaborate with team members and supervisors.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift 10 pounds or more during event setup and takedown.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and athletic schedules.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and representing the Student Services and Athletics Office with integrity.
