Job description

As the home for USC Trojans football since 1923, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum also plays host to concerts, international soccer matches, food festivals, and numerous other events. The Coliseum just completed a $315 million-dollar renovation that will usher in a new era of service as we continue to strive to be "The Greatest Stadium in the World."
We are seeking Ticket Seller 2 (Resource Employee) to join our rapidly growing team.
Resource employees are hourly, non-exempt employees and cannot work for the university more than 1,000 hours within a rolling 12-month period.
The Opportunity:
This position provides a higher level of Ticketmaster experience, responsible for conducting in-person and by-phone ticket sales using the Ticketmaster ticketing system, balancing, and accounting for cash and charge/debit receipts for daily sales transactions and organizing and distributing "will call" tickets. The Ticket Seller also communicates effectively and maintains high standards of customer service during all sales transactions, responds to customer inquiries regarding building information, directions, event seating, ticketing, parking, and general concerns during the sales process.

  • Ticket Selling
  • Will Call
  • Processing promoter requests
  • Receive and process counter, phone and mail ticket orders using various aspects of the ticketing system.
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures regarding money and ticket reconciliation after every work shift.
  • Provide accurate facility information and exceptional customer service to all customers. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Position specific Job Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ticketmaster experience required
  • Prior sales and customer service experience; ticketing sales is preferred.
  • Experience handling/reconciling cash and the ability to calculate money with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strong, professional communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and meet strict deadlines

Additional Information pertinent to this specific position:
  • This job will require a flexible schedule. May have to work weekends, evenings and/or holidays.
  • Understand both verbal and written instructions in English

The hourly rate for this position is $24.00. When determining an offer, the University of Southern California considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education, training, key skills, internal peer alignment, applicable laws, contractual requirements, grant funding, and market conditions.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Previous experience using the Ticketmaster ticketing system in a box office, venue, or event setting.
Prior experience in customer service and/or sales, preferably in a ticketing, box office, or live events environment.
Demonstrated experience handling and reconciling cash, including accurate calculation of sales transactions and end-of-shift balancing.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers in person and by phone.
Ability to provide accurate information regarding event seating, ticketing, parking, and venue directions.
Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate ticketing and point-of-sale systems.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in cash handling and ticket reconciliation.
Work Requirements:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
