Job description

As a Development Lead Engineer a typical day might include:
  • Leading and actively participating in product design, development, introduction, and/or supporting activities crossing two or more technical disciplines.

  • Maintaining a detailed understanding of electric power systems and how to protect, monitor and control the power system.

  • Conceiving and developing concepts for new product ideas and enhancements.

  • Lead efforts in providing power engineering support for customers & field application engineers.

  • Serving as technical lead on complex projects.

  • Modeling, teaching and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

  • Embracing the mindset: Understand. Create. Simplify.

  • Other duties as assigned.


This job might be for you if you have:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years of experience in electric power systems, protection practices and philosophies.

  • Excellent technical training, speaking and writing skills.

  • Experience in leading cross-functional product development teams.

  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Pay Range Data: $125,000 - $175,000 annually.

We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job and responsibility. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
