Job Summary

This role will oversee the companyโ€™s purchasing operations, leading a team of Buyers responsible for sourcing and procurement across multiple locations. The Purchasing Manager will drive supplier performance, cost efficiency, and standardization of purchasing processes to ensure timely delivery of quality materials and services. This role will work closely with plant leadership, supply chain, and finance to support operational goals and company growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Buyer team across multiple facilities, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings, efficiency, and quality targets.
  • Manage vendor relationships and performance, including negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing agreements.
  • Oversee purchasing processes to ensure timely procurement of materials, supplies, and services to meet production schedules.
  • Coordinate with operations, scheduling, engineering, and customer service to anticipate material needs and resolve supply issues.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, safety stock, and lead times to optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure data accuracy within the ERP system, including pricing, supplier information, and order tracking.
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers while evaluating current suppliers for continuous improvement opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
