Job description

Primary Purpose: 
Implement a comprehensive program of health services for the campus.  Promote health and safety; provide case management; and collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy, and learning. 
Qualifications: 
Education/Certification: 
Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program
Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners
CPR/ AED/First Aid certification
Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening
Type 2 Diabetes Risk Assessment screening certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills: 
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to implement policies and procedures
Maintaining electronic health records
Experience: 
Preferably Two years of nursing experience, preferably in school or community health
Salary:   Teacher / 187 days
