Job description

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing company. The Staff Accountant will perform routine accounting tasks to support the daily operations of our accounting team. Under the direction of the Office Manager, the Staff Accountant will update and maintain records, reconcile bank statements, and manage our accounting database. We prefer candidates with accounting knowledge or prior experience in an accounting role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Perform account analysis and reconciliations
  • Provide audit support
  • Serve as a resource for the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams
  • Process business transactions such as funds received and disbursed
  • Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, and reconciliation of accounts

Requirements
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior accounting experience preferred or education in accounting; relevant certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with basic accounting procedures
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel); hands-on experience with Excel is a plus
  • Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Attentive to details
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and to grow with the company
