Position Summary
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between business operations and software development. This role combines business analysis, process improvement, systems analysis, and quality assurance to ensure our technology solutions align with business objectives.
Working directly with the Chief Technology Officer, you will collaborate with executives, department leaders, developers, and vendors to gather requirements, improve business processes, support software development, and validate new system enhancements through testing and user acceptance.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and process workflows.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend technology-driven improvements.
  • Act as the liaison between business users and software development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate software implementations, enhancements, and system integrations.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Identify, document, and track software defects while working with developers to resolve issues.
  • Create process documentation, training materials, and end-user documentation.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision making.
  • Provide application support, troubleshoot system issues, and assist users with business applications.
  • Demonstrate completed enhancements to stakeholders and ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Support Agile project planning, sprint activities, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong experience gathering business requirements and documenting functional specifications.
  • Experience analyzing business processes and designing workflow improvements.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience creating and executing test plans, regression testing, and UAT.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with SQL, ERP systems, reporting/BI tools, Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS/TFS), or similar project management platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with transportation, logistics, or dealership operations is preferred.
